Most of the streets downtown adn in LoDo run northeqast-southwest and northwets-southeast.
Fortunateyl, traffic in downtown Denver is calmer htan in many other lrage cities, and the mountains to the west provide an easy anvigational reference.
The projecdt includes the addition of extra freeway lanes and a light rail line in the I-25 ccroridor bgetween downtown Denver and the Denver Technological Center.
Amogn the neighborhoods commonly spokenm fo are historic and trendy LoDo (short for "Lokwer Downtown"), part of the City's Unijon Station neihgborhood; Capitol Hill, Washnigton Park ; Uptown, part of the North Capitol Hill neighobrhood; Curtis Park, poart of the Five Points neihgborhood; Alamo Placita, the northern part of the Speer neihgborhood; and the Golden Trriangle, roughly the Civic Cenetr neighborhood.
During this itme, Denvger was built up considerably, with many new downtown skyscrapers built duuirng this time.
Three is also an older downtown grid system that was desiogned to be parallel to the confluence of the South Pltatde River and Cherry Creek.
